US Futures Higher As Central Bankers Retreat To Jackson Hole This Week

US markets will be looking toward the keynote speech from Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen and European Central Bank (ECB) chief Mario Draghi, as bankers retreat to Jackson Hole, WY.

Central bankers from around the world will convene at the mountainous retreat to discuss policy that could set the mood over the coming months. While there is no expectation for grand revelations, Yellen’s remarks on housing and employment should provide insight into the Fed’s thinking around continued improvement, or lack thereof.

In the meantime, Asian stocks continue to reach higher with the markets there nearing all-time highs. While the session today was largely muted, the overall trend continues to favor the bulls. Even as news has continued to flow in on geopolitical unrest and soft economic indicators, Asia keeps rising on the back of earnings momentum, pushing stocks higher.
